Sorry for slacking off here, things have been a bit busy personally.

I finished the rock sample despite having lost the job, I think it turned out all right and I now have a better idea of what will work and what won't.

The rocks are blue insulating foam (foamular) , shaped using an angle grinder with a sanding disc, and then coated using a custom mix of roof sealer, latex caulk and plaster of paris.

I've also been a little busy on the bigfoot mystery project sponsored by the Bear Hotel. Bigfoot is not actually a creature but a robot suit controlled by little martians, Who Knew?

the control module is the cardboard template I made to fit in the cavity of the statue, that Joe Johnson built, with fiberglass resin and cloth and details will be added using magic sculpt, and some old broken electronics, some battery powered color changing lights, and an old rc servo motor driving a piston up and down.

The little martian is looking over his/her shoulder with a look of surprise at being discovered, hands on the controls. Built using foamular and magic sculpt. The foamular was initially carved using a home made hot wire cutter using and old transformer, dimmer switch, and some wire bought from Hot Wire Foam Factory. Trying to have it done this week as they have more work for me. :) :)

I also finished and delivered the 30 X 96 Cucina Mista sign on the 4th, and a tiki torch statue for some friends. The tiki is made from a sonotube for concrete forms, and great foam in a can and coated in fiberglass and paint.
