Still Grinding

Here's a shot of the stump grinding sign still in progress. I am still experimenting on glaze colors to get a rich brown bark, but overall I am happy with how it is turning out. The signboard will probably get a few highlights and the lettering will get a contrasting color.

Stump Grinding

A long time friend recently purchased a stump grinder to augment his landscape maintenance business, so I am making a sign that will sit at the edge of his property on a well traveled road here in Grants Pass.

I've had the framework done for a few days, and today I got started coating with fiberglass reenforced concrete and an epoxy clay called magic sculpt. Hopefully I can get this done in the next 4 or 5 days.
