Bearfest 2016

last year I was commissioned to do a jet boat bear in honor of the annual Boatnik carnival and jet boat races on the Rogue River. This is Nikov Tyme a russian racing bear. This sculpture is 10 feet long 5 feet wide and 6 feet tall. He was quite popular as I had to repaint him twice after all the people dirtied him up climbing all over him.

Lulu's restaurant

during the month of January I did my first ever mosaic mural in a new restaurant in Grants Pass, Oregon.

a mermaid swimming in the ocean made up of over 10,000 tiles all placed individually by hand

it will have water running over the surface when finally completed. The owner of the restaurant will be installing the water feature soon

Hi! We have been gone for while! Time sure flies when life, ah, takes on a life of it’s own?

Since we have been gone for a while, lets go back a little bit and re-introduce ourselves, and what we do here at JP Graphics.

We make signs! Not any old signs. Nooooo. Those are pretty boring. We make 3 dimensional signs; hand lettered signs! We make sculptures and paint fancy stuff on your rat rod or custom car (or your regular car, should you so desire). We can even bring your mascot to life! In short, we make your business stand out from the flat, dull world of 2D.

There has been a lot going on lately, and more coming our way. Come and dig around the blog site, ‘like’ us on Facebook and check our website. We have lots of things to share.

Oh, and be sure to click ‘follow’. We’d hate for you miss all the nifty things we have coming up.

Stay tuned. We’ll see you soon!

Time Passes

well, its been some time since I have posted and thought I might try to get back into the swing of things

pictured is a project car I have had for a few years and with the help of some friends was finally able to get it on the road

it is a 1964 Ford Falcon wagon

I have been steadily employed at the Bear Hotel in Grants Pass Oregon for the last few years building bears for Bearfest each summer

this is Root Bearly a float and my friend Ray who helped do the fiber-glassing on this project and who also helped get my car back on the road (Ray is the short one)

this bear was done for the 2014 Bearfest
