Anyways I got another job with the Bear Hotel. they will be having an interactive tour at the bear hotel this Christmas season and I'll be building some aliens, artifacts, and spaceships for the tour. This is just one of the smaller alien critters I'll be making. It's on display at the main Evergreen branch in Grants Pass.

Got a Job

I got a job today building boxes for the Bear Hotel. they are to be a part of a bus stop monument. There will be three bus stops that the trolley will go to to take folks out to Wildlife Images. The bears will look like an Indiana Jones type of character with boxes of "live" animals to deliver after coming to G.P. after a far off expedition.

This box was my resume. Now I've got to build and decorate three sets of animal crates.

Been a Little Busy

Wow, it's been over a week already. The saucer project got finished (sort of) the interior has not been done yet but the sculpture was a hit at the Home Show. Unfortunately Yogi never made it to the home show, I had some 8X10 prints to show off my work and had lots of questions from folks, so hopefully I'll get some work from all the effort.

Yogi's First Ride

Last Saturday I happened to be in Medford, Oregon and as I was driving down Crater Lake hiway I looked to my right and saw Yogi waving at me. I went back to get pictures of his first ride.

He showed up with a riding partner and the cops

Crunch Time

Only 2 more days until I need to go set up for the homeshow. Today I finished the Evergreen Bank sign and made some headway on the saucer. Things are looking up!

How it Begins

About a month ago I did a sketch of a flying saucer and decided to make it reality.
So I got busy Saturday afternoon and started building the steel framework. it will be covered in metal lath and then coated in a 2 part epoxy putty known as magic sculpt, then painted in acrylic colors. The dome is a light cover I found on the I-5 about a year ago.

Finally done

Fri April 30 I finally completed the Yogi bear bike. most of the other bears and bikes were done or very near completion also. their first public preview will be at the Grants Pass Home Show at the fairground on the 14, 15, 16 of May
